that's right - native americans are overrepresented in your militarty - far higher proportion of servicemen than the mainstream population. this is seldom acknowledged. it is the same in australia too - we had 5000 aboriginal troops in the second world war. recently this has been acknowledged by a group marching in our anzac day war memorial day. the rsl (returned servicemen's league) is a very powerful organisation in our country, and they have opposed the aboriginal anzac march.

ah, so many battles to fight on all fronts. on the home front here as well as the international conflict. but then there is the fight to fight within our own communities, families, and then within ourselves - that personal struggle to take control of your life.
