well, unfortunately in this country land rights seem to go through only when corporations want something from the land - native title actually makes it easier to exploit land and people here. mining exploration is often preceded by granting native title and promising chances for advancement, which as far as i know always turn out to be bogus.

native title wins are usually followed by 'white backlash' and moves by government to privatise land ownership. look what happened in alaska.
