Hi Tyson,

Interesting article, thank you.

I'm English by birth, but have spent most of my life in Australia. I note that you also live in Australia -- nice to meet you. I'll check out your other articles.

Keep writing :-)

Elizabeth

thanks elizabeth.

i've got a lot of articles about australia here, but i try to make at least every third one about international indigenous groups or just indigenousness in general.

hope you enjoy the articles.

thanks for the praise - but feel free to be critical also if you feel it's warranted - i ain't made of glass, and invite critiquing.

Hi Tyson,

An international perspective is a must, especially on the internet. But I do need my consciousness raised in regards to the issues of Australian indigenous people too.

The first book that I read which raised some of the issues you're writing about was Dee Brown's "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee". That was a powerful read, I should read it again. And around the same time I watched James A Michener's "Chesapeake", in one episode it had a scene of the Native Indians being slaughtered. I cried and cried.

Thank you for replying to my message :-)

I'll be back!

Elizabeth
