Great article, Tyson. We have similar problems in Canada with diabetes, as well as with diseases thought to be "defeated" reappearing in First Nations communities - tuberculosis, syphilis, etc. Again, while on the surface there appears to be a correlation between these illnesses and being an aboriginal person, other variables such as poverty, education, access to health care, etc. are largely ignored.

2 damn rite. my big concern is that genes are actually beginning to alter according to the myths. how powerful is propaganda, that it can change the basic building blocks of organic life?
