Last week, Australian Prime Minister John Howard delivered a long overdue apology...

...

How long has Indigenous Australia been asking for an apology from Prime Minister John Howard? To date, he has staunchly refused to say the simple words, "We're Sorry".

However, last week an historic event occurred. The Prime Minister actually stood up an apologised in parliament. To us? Well not exactly. But he did apologise to Vietnam Veterans for their treatment following the war.

That one's been a long time coming. It sounded so good to hear him say the words. I hope he can screw up the courage and the decency to apologise to our Indigenous people next. Who knows? It might happen.

At least he's shown he knows how to say the words.
